PostgreSQL 19 is running late, and a core developer blames AI: LLMs find bugs faster than committers can fix them
PostgreSQL committer Robert Haas says LLM-found bugs pushed back-patch work up by more than 60% and delayed PostgreSQL 19. The project now plans general availability on 19 November 2026, after RC 2 on 12 November.
